Costa Rica and Brazil Wednesday signed an agreement on boosting trade and investment between the two countries, officials said.
The agreement will open door for the two countries' business circles to conduct expos, seminars, conferences, company networking meetings and trade visits in each other's country, said Martin Zuniga, director general of Costa Rica's Foreign Trade Promotion Organization.
Costa Rica exports goods worth 20 million U.S. dollars to Brazil every year. The main products for export are medicines, paper and cardboard boxes, rubber packing materials and aircraft parts.
Costa Rica imports 393 million dollars of goods from Brazil each year, including iron, vehicles, metal wires and textiles.
