The ASEAN Capital Business Forum (ACBF) opened here Monday, focusing on issues relating to financial markets, challenges of businesses after participating in the ASEAN Free Trade Area, and the block's economic situation.
The two-day forum themed "For a Prosperous ASEAN" will create opportunities for business people in the region to learn information about potential partners, and investment chances in Vietnam and Hanoi in particular, Vietnamese Deputy Prime Minister Pham Gia Khiem said at the opening ceremony.
A ceremony of awarding outstanding ASEAN (Association of Southeast Asian Nations) business people in the forum's framework is scheduled to take place Monday evening to honor those who make great contribution to their countries and the block.
The forum is attended by over 1,000 delegates from the region, including Brunei, Cambodia, Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia, Myanmar, the Philippines, Singapore, Thailand and Vietnam, and international organizations in Vietnam. Source:Xinhua
