After two years of exploration, 100 million tons of high-quality coal was found in the Wansheng District of Chongqing.
Nantong is the major coal coke production unit of this city, with a current mining depth of over 700 meters, and coal resources have been depleted.
As a result, Nantong Coal Mine petitioned the Chongqing 136 geological team to explore Nantong Coal Mine and investigate for any remaining resources.
After an arduous field survey in December 2007, 100 million tons of high-quality coal reserves were confirmed.
The coalfield can be divided into three seams, each of them about 1 to 2.5 meters thick. If annual output reaches 1 million tons, exploration could continue for about a century.
