The number of China UnionPay Card's agents in Japan has been over 10,000 by the end of April, 2008. The number of ATM in Japan providing service to China UnionPay Card has passed 46,000, according to data released by China UnionPay recently.
Officials from China UnionPay said they will expand the agent network of China UnionPay card in Japan, in order to meet the needs of China's users in Japan.
The China UnionPay will strenthen its cooperation with Japan's financial institutions to expand the issuance of China UnionpPay's standard card in Japan, which will play a key role in promoting the cultural communication in non-governmental level between China and Japan.
Statitics show that China UnionPay card's transactions in Japan have increased by 25 per cent every month on average.
