Russian stock market resumes trading amid downturn |

Russia's main stock market resumed trade Tuesday noon after a two-hour suspension but the share prices kept falling.
The benchmark Russian Trading System (RTS) and the Moscow Interbank Currency Exchange (MICEX) halted trading on orders from the Federal Financial Markets Service (FFMS) on 10:31 a.m. (0831 GMT) after share prices plummeted in early trading.
Trading resumed at 12:30 p.m. (0830 GMT) but kept plunging.
The RTS index dropped 30.11 points, or 2.52 percent, to 1,1164 points and the MICEX index fell 5.89 percent to 959.57 points as of 12:54 p.m. (0852 GMT)
