Sichuan to absorb 10 billion yuan to save ethnic Qiang culture |

Sichuan Province will absorb approximately 10 billion yuan of investment from China and abroad to save and rehabilitate the quake-threatened Qiang culture.
Huang Xiaoxiang, Vice Governor of Sichuan Province, said at Sichuan Conference on International Cooperation for the Reconstruction Projects held on October 26 that Sichuan province has planned 685 reconstruction projects with a total investment of 601.7 billion yuan. Among them 155.8 billion yuan will be invested in 218 cultural and tourism projects, second only to the 190 billion yuan of proposed investment for infrastructure projects.
The List of Investment Projects for Post-Disaster Reconstruction compiled by the Sichuan Province Investment Bureau showed that the province will raise nearly 10 billion yuan from the general public to fund various projects in Qiang cultural and tourism industry restoration and reconstruction.
