China's accommodation, catering industry speed up |

The accommodation and catering industry in China has been growing faster than ever in October. Retailing sales of the sector contribute 3.5 percentage points of rise to the total sales of consumer products.
According to the figure announced by the Ministry of Commerce on Nov. 18, the accommodation and catering industry made retailing sales of 147.33 billion yuan in October, up by2.6 percent over last month. The year-on-year increase of 25.8 percent is 4.4 percentage points faster than the same month of last year.
For the ten months from January to October, the industry reports 1252.85 billion yuan of retailing sales, accounting for 14.2 percent of the total sales of consumer products. The means a rise of 24.9 percent in the sales, which is 6.3 percentage points faster than the same period of last year.
