Hong Kong stocks rose 427.41 points, or 1.86 percent, to close at 23,422.76 on Wednesday.

Turnover rose to 89.91 billion HK dollars (11.55 billion U.S. dollars) from Tuesday's 89 billion HK dollars (11.44 billion U.S. dollars).
