Hong Kong stocks fell 53.80 points, or 0.35 percent, to close at 15,509.51 on Tuesday.

Turnover increased to 53.92 billion HK dollars (6.96 billion U.S.dollars) from Monday's 49.42 billion HK dollars (6.38 billion U.S.dollars).
