Chinese shares dropped more than one percent at June 23's opening.

The benchmark Shanghai Composite Index lost 1.48 percent to open at 2,853.49. The Shenzhen Component Index dropped 1.53 percent to 11,019.71 at the opening.

Wall Street tumbled Monday in its worst single-day loss in two months amid renewed concerns about the global downturn and conflicting signals about an economic recovery.
