Hong Kong stocks reversed slight morning losses in the afternoon to close at 20,899.24 on Thursday, up 404.47 points, or 1.97 percent.

Turnover rose to 88.45 billion HK dollars (11.34 billion U.S. dollars) from Wednesday's 84.09 billion HK dollars (10.78 billion U.S. dollars).
