Chinese shares opened higher on Monday morning with the benchmark Shanghai Composite Index up 0.19 percent, or 5.53 points to open at 2,844.37.
The Shenzhen Component Index moved up 0.30 percent, or 34.28 points, to open at 11,418.44.
