A fleet of 29 cars participating in a 11,000 km-rally through six ASEAN countries on Saturday returned to China through the Youyiguan pass on the China-Vietnam border.
The 2007 China-ASEAN International Touring Assembly flagged off on Sept. 27 in Nanning,capital of South China's Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region.
A fleet of 25 vehicles including 16 race cars and 9 logistics and support vehicles carried around 150 people through the journey.
In the past 24 days, the motorcade passed through six ASEAN countries, namely Vietnam, Laos, Thailand, Malaysia, Singapore and Cambodia, covering a staggering 11,000 kilometres.
Two cars from Singapore and two cars from Malaysia joined the Chinese racers on the return leg. An award ceremony for the drivers will be held in Nanning in the coming two days.
Guangxi connects ASEAN countries both by land and sea. The China-ASEAN Touring Assembly is one of the theme events aimed at boosting exchange and cooperation in culture and sports between China and ASEAN members.
The rally will be followed by the 4th China-ASEAN Expo, the 4th China-ASEAN Business and Investment Summit and the 2007 Nanning International Folk Arts Festival salted for Oct. 28-31 in Nanning.
