Hangzhou will allocate 80 million yuan annually to help enterprises expand their markets in order to combat the global financial crisis, said Shen Jian, the vice mayor of the city on June 18.

Of this special budget allocation, no less than 20 million yuan will be used to organize annual exhibitions for special and famous local products from Hangzhou. Meanwhile, by subsidizing exhibition fees and helping their marketing images, enterprises will be encouraged to participate in or organize trade fairs at home and abroad.

Hangzhou will be one of the first cities to bottom out the financial crisis, noted Cai Qi, the Mayor of the city, at the opening ceremony of this year's exhibition for special and famous local products of Hangzhou.
