Iran and Morocco on Tuesday extended their economic and trade cooperation by signing five memorandums of understanding (MOUs), the official IRNA news agency reported.
The documents were signed by Iranian Minister of Commerce Masoud Mir-Kazemi and visiting Moroccan Minister of Foreign Trade Abdelatif Maazoz, IRNA reported.
The signing ceremony was held at the end of the 5th session of Iran-Morocco joint trade and economic commission which started on Feb. 23 in the Iranian capital of Tehran.
The agreements would strengthen Tehran-Rabat cooperation in the fields of oil, shipping, custom duties, tourism and industrial activities.
Iran and Morocco experienced growing trade relations during the past couple of years.
Latest figures show that the volume of the two countries' non-oil trade exchanges stood at more than 14 million U.S. dollars in the first three quarters of the current Iranian calendar year (started March 21, 2007), according to IRNA. Source:Xinhua
