Vietnam plans to set aside 10-15 percent of agricultural land and other kinds of land for development of industry and service from now to 2025, local newspaper Pioneer reported Friday.
Vietnam will try to use land which yields low food outputs to develop industry and service, while still ensuring national food security, the newspaper quoted Vietnamese Minister of Natural Resources and Environment Pham Khoi Nguyen as saying.
Over the past two decades, Vietnam has set aside around three percent of agricultural land for industrial development, he noted.
