Dollar briefly slips to lower 101 yen in Tokyo |

The U.S. dollar briefly fell to an eight-year low at the lower 101 yen level Tuesday in Tokyo.
At 5 p.m., the dollar was quoted at 102.18-21 yen compared with101.70-80 yen in New York and 102.04-07 yen in Tokyo at 5 p.m. Monday.
It moved between 101.42 yen and 102.20 yen, changing hands most frequently at 101.62 yen.
The euro traded at 1.5353-5356 dollars and 156.91-95 yen, against late Monday's quotes of 1.5339-5349 dollars and 156.05-15 yen in New York and 1.5383-5386 dollars and 157.00-04 yen in Tokyo.
