Report: Japan registers 3.3% economic growth in Q1

Japan's economy grew at an annualized rate of 3.3 percent in real terms in the January-March quarter, said a government preliminary report Friday.

On a quarter-on-quarter basis, Japan's GDP grew by 0.8 percent in the first quarter of 2008, the Cabinet Office said in the report.
