The U.S. dollar edged down to the upper 105 yen level Tuesday morning in Tokyo.

At noon, the dollar was quoted at 105.85-90 yen against 106.09-19 yen in New York and 106.58-61 yen in Tokyo at 5 p.m. Monday.

The euro traded at 1.5930-5935 dollars and 168.65-70 yen, against late Monday's quotes of 1.5903-5913 dollars and 168.83-93 yen in New York and 1.5877-5880 dollars and 169.25-29 yen in Tokyo.
