The number of South Korean companies that filed for bankruptcy increased in September as more manufacturers and builders went belly-up, the country's central bank said Friday.
According to the Bank of Korea, 203 companies went bankrupt last month, compared with 178 a month earlier.
Meanwhile, the BOK said the number of start ups dropped to 3,671 last month from 3,713 in August.
The default rate on corporate bills remained at 0.02 percent as in August, the central bank added. Source:Xinhua
