Japan's key Nikkei stock index on Monday morning fell to the 7,500 level, the lowest since the end of Japan's bubble economy, logged in April 2003.
It rebounded after opening. At 9:44 a.m., the benchmark 225-issue Nikkei index recovered to 7,629.44 points, or 0.23 percent lower from its close Friday.
