The U.S. dollar traded at the lower 94 yen level Monday morning in Tokyo after tumbling to a 13-year low in the upper 90 yen range Friday in London

At noon, the dollar fetched 94.02-07 yen versus 94.25-35 yen in New York and 95.14-17 yen in Tokyo at 5 p.m. Friday.

The euro traded at 1.2562-2567 dollars and 118.13-23 yen, against 1.2620-2630 dollars and 118.98-119.08 yen in New York and 1.2665-2668 dollars and 120.52-56 yen in Tokyo late Friday.

In early morning trading in Tokyo, the dollar fell to the upper 91 yen level, following the trend on Friday in New York and London. But it rebounded soon after and mostly was quoted at upper 93 yen level Monday morning.

Group of Seven major nations voiced concern about "excessive volatility" on the market at noon, but yen barely moved as dealers believed the statement would have little effect on the market as it stated no measures the world's major economies would take to bolster dollar against yen.
