The U.S. dollar traded at the lower 93 yen level early Tuesday in Tokyo, up from the upper 92 yen range overnight in New York.

At 9 a.m., the dollar fetched 93.20-25 yen versus 92.75-85 yen in New York and 92.95-98 yen in Tokyo at 5 p.m. Monday.

The euro traded at 1.2461-2466 dollars and 116.13-23 yen compared with 1.2488-2498 dollars and 115.85-96 yen in New York and 1.2441-2443 dollars and 115.65-69 yen in Tokyo late Monday.

In New York on Monday, the dollar continued depreciate against yen despite a Group of Seven economies' emergency statement after the U.S. currency's tumble last Friday to a 13-year low in the upper 90 yen range.
