South Korea announced on Tuesday to donate 20 million U.S. dollars to promote economic cooperation with African countries.
"In addition to the 5 million-U.S. dollar fund that we established with the African Development Bank (AfDB) last year, we will push to donate 20 million U.S. dollars more," South Korean Finance Minister Kang Man-soo said at the Korea Africa Cooperation Conference in Seoul.
South Korea and the AfDB launched the conference in 2006.
This year's event, which was kicked off on Monday for a four-day run, was participated by around 130 dignitaries from African countries including AfDB chief Donald Kaberuka. Source: Xinhua
