Dollar slips to lower 95 yen level in Tokyo

The U.S. dollar briefly slipped to the upper 94 yen level and changed hands most frequently at lower 95 yen range Thursday in Tokyo.

At 5:00 p.m., the dollar fetched 95.23-26 yen, versus Wednesday's 5:00 p.m. quotes of 95.65-75 yen in New York and 96.73-75 yen in Tokyo.

It moved between 94.97 yen and 96.12 yen during the day, trading most frequently at 95.00 yen. The dollar traded in 94 yen territory for the first time in one week.

The euro traded at 1.2507-2509 dollars and 119.12-16 yen, against late Wednesday's quotes of 1.2485-2495 dollars and 119.45-55 yen in New York and 1.2645-2647 dollars and 122.32-36 yen in Tokyo.
