South Korea's exports plunged 14.3 percent in the first 20 days of November from a year earlier due to ongoing global economic recession, a government report showed Friday.
According to a report by the Knowledge Economy Ministry and the Korea Customs Service, South Korea's exports in the first 20 days of this month reached 17.63 billion U.S. dollars, down from 20.57 billion U.S. dollars in the same period last year.
From Nov.1-20, the country's imports posted 21.91 billion U.S. dollars, the report showed.
The report said South Korea's cumulative deficit has amounted to 17.91 billion U.S. dollars so far this year.
