S Korea: current account surplus to continue next year

South Korean Finance Minister Kang Man-soo said Friday that the country's current account surplus are expected to continue into 2009.

The current account surplus in November is estimated to reach 1billion U.S. dollars and is expected to widen in December, Kang said.

The current account surplus reached 4.91 billion U.S. dollars in October, compared with deficit of 1.35 billion U.S. dollars in September, according to South Korea's central bank.
