Japan, South Korea split 100m golds at AYG

Japan's Nashimoto Masaki claimed the gold medal in the boys' 100m finals, while Lee Sunae from South Korea won the girls' 100m finals at the first Asian Youth Games on Friday.

In the boys' 100m finals, Nashimoto dashed to the finish line in 10.82 seconds. Phiraksa Kittisak from Thailand came in second in 11.11 seconds, and Mohd Anuar Shahrir from host Singapore won the bronze medal in 11.13 seconds.

In the girls' 100m finals, Lee Sunae from South Korea finished first in12.16 seconds. Kimura Akane from Japan took the silver medal in 12.36 seconds, followed by He Jiawen from China in 12.44.
