Tokyo stocks rise 1.11% in opening

Tokyo stocks opened higher Friday following a bounce back to the 10,000 level of the Dow Jones index.

In the first 15 minutes of trading, the benchmark 225-issue Nikkei index gained 107.40 points, or 1.11 percent, to 9,824.84 from Thursday's one-month closing low.

The broader Topix index of all First Section issues on the Tokyo Stock Exchange was up 3.07 points, or 0.35 percent, to 878.03. The Second Section also advanced.
