LG Electronics, the world's second largest liquid crystal display (LCD) manufacturer, will introduce its 3D LCD TV products in India through a partnership with Valuable Group, the largest media and entertainment company in the Indian market, the company said Tuesday.

"This partnership makes LG the first company to provide 3D televisions to an overseas media company, the key target market in the early stage of 3D TV development," said Havis Kwon, executive vice president and head of the LCD division of LG, in a statement.

LG will put in place its 3D TVs at locations with large numbers of cricket fans, including public bars and restaurants across the country, where viewers will have access to Valuable Group's first- ever live 3D broadcast of the final four games of the Indian Premier League in April, the company said.

Valuable Group is the leading media company in India, operating 1,700 cinemas with a 40 percent market share, and they recently acquired the global broadcasting rights for the Indian Premier League, the country's professional cricket league.
