The chairman of Indonesian Investment Coordinating Board Gita Wirawan said on Tuesday that he forecast the investment would grow by 15 percent to 190 trillion rupiah (some 21.35 billion U.S. dollars) next year.
The chairman quoted by Antara news wire as saying that among the sectors that would receive the funds were transportation, telecommunications, infrastructure, food industry and property.
Accelerating economic growth with moderate level and higher- than-other countries interest rate have lured foreign investors to invest in Indonesia so far.
Indonesian central bank has refrained from joining neighboring countries to hike rate and kept it on hold at 6.5 percent in October and many predict that the bank may start to raise the rate next year as the inflation outlook is still benign.
Indonesia's economy is predicted to accelerate at 6.3 percent next year.
