Huge crowds of Apple fans Friday lined outside Apple's flagship Store on 5th Avenue in New York as the company rolled out its revamped iPhone 3G.
The sequel to the wildly-popular iPhone went on sale at 8 a.m.
"I just love the speed that iPhone 3G offers for website surfing," said Apple fan Greg Sanjas, who stood in the line for 5 days to buy his first iPhone last year, but only 7 hours this year.
Many over-eager iPhone fanboys had reportedly started lining up outside Apple's flagship store to be the first to get their hands on iPhone 3G many days ago.
The company is aiming to sell 100 phones an hour in each of its more than 180 U.S. stores.
The iPhone 3G advertisements call the technology "half the price" of the former version; however, service plans are more expensive. Source:Xinhua
