Former Cuban leader Fidel Castro on Sunday warned of the "dramatic" consequences that the current financial crisis would bring about and called for vigilance against the measures the U.S. government has taken to solve it.
"(Those measures) will bring more inflation, more devaluations of the national currencies, more painful losses of the markets, lower prices of the export commodities, more unequal exchange," Castro said in an article published by Cuban media.
The crisis will also bring more knowledge of the truth, more consciousness, more rebellion and more revolutions, he said.
According to Castro, the capitalist system is experiencing the worst crisis since the world followed that model of growth and development.
Castro also exemplified the amount of U.S. public debt, saying that to count it, one man would have to spend 710 billion years, working eight hours daily without losing one second, counting 100 bills of one U.S. dollar per minute and working 300 days per year.
"The people always pay the bills," Castro said. Source:Xinhua
