Dollar trades in lower 84 yen zone

The U.S. dollar traded at the lower 84 yen level early Friday in Tokyo.

At 9 a.m., the dollar bought 84.35-47 yen, compared with 84.22- 32 yen in New York and 84.14-17 yen in Tokyo at 5 p.m. Thursday.

The euro was quoted at 1.2814-2816 dollars and 108.09-11 yen, against 1.2820-2830 dollars and 108.03-13 yen in New York and 1. 2795-2798 dollars and 107.68-72 yen in Tokyo late Thursday.
