In the next five years, China will introduce 300 items of advanced technology for the optimal allocation and protection of water resources, construction of water environment and ecology, and disaster prevention and mitigation.
In addition, 500 items of advanced practical results will be promoted into application. Hu Siyi, vice minister of the Ministry of Water Resources, declared at the 2008 Annual International Water Advanced Technology Promotion Conference held recently.
Since the Tenth Five-year Plan Period, China has introduced from abroad more than 500 items of advanced applied technologies, and promoted more than 500 items of advanced practical results.
