London stock market closed higher on Friday with the FTSE 100 index up by 39.55 points, or 0.81 percent, at 4,908.90 points.
As the biggest winner, Lloyds Banking Group climbed 6.34 percent, while copper producer Kazakhmys rose 5.50 percent.
The biggest loser was Serco Group, its shares lost 2.84 percent, and shares of United Utilities Group fell 2.77 percent.
