Entrepreneurs from the Muslim world convened here on Monday to tap into the business potential within and beyond Islamic countries in Africa.
The meeting, under the theme of "Discover the Resources and High Potential of the African Market", is a 12th of this kind for the promotion of trade and investment among Islamic countries.
The meeting is set to create a platform for sharing experiences and identification of investment opportunities in Africa with the 57 members of the Organization of Islamic Conference (OIC).
The Islamic Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ICCI), the Islamic Development Bank (IDB), the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Uganda and Uganda National Chamber of Commerce and Industry (UNCCI) jointly organized the meeting.
The meeting, with more than 500 participants expected to attend, is held concurrently with the 35th Foreign Ministerial Conference of OIC in Kampala, scheduled on June 18-20. Source: Xinhua
