PetroChina to invest 200 billion RMB in Xinjiang

On his business trip to Xinjiang, Zhou Jiping, the head of PetroChina, revealed that PetroChina will invest 200 billion RMB in this region in the next five to six years.

He said the investment would be mainly used in four areas including oil exploration, infrastructure of oil refining chemical companies, crude oil reserves and improvement of pipeline network. The company plans to invest 33.3 to 40 billion RBM per year in Xinjiang in the following five to six years.
