Insider confirmed resignation of Baidu CTO

According tech.sina.com.cn, insider has confirmed that Baidu CTO Li Yinan will soon leave office. In response to this news, Baidu public relations department made not comment, and Li did not answer the phone. This will be the second departure of Baidu executives within 10 days following the former COO Ye Peng.

According to insider, Baidu CTO Li Yinan will soon will officially announce leaving Baidu for" personal reasons", but the person did not give out Li's plans after leaving, while successor for the post is also uncertain.
As an experienced research and development leader, Li has abundant experience in the information technology industry. Before joining Baidu, Li served as chief telecommunications scientist and vice president at Huawei Technologies, China's largest private telecom gear maker. In that position, he oversaw the development of 3G mobile chipsets.
On October 6, 2008, Baidu announced the appointment of former vice president of Huawei Li Yinan as the company's chief technology officer, and then Li led research and development projects such as the next generation of search technology called "Aladdin" and others. Baidu's chief scientist Dr. William Chang, Yu Jun, vice president of product (have left), etc. report to Li, and Li report to Baidu CEO Robin Li.
In March and April of the same year Baidu CFO Jennifer Li and COO Ye Peng and other executives have successively came to Baidu. Baidu CEO Robin Li has said that early 2008 is the saddest time for him, when Baidu CFO died in accident and no candidates for COO or CTO.
However, within ten days, the management board of Baidu formed in 2008 experienced changes in a row. Before CTO Li Yinan, Baidu COO Ye Peng announced he quit the job.
