Chinese companies named sole supplier for some Boeing 787 parts

As the backbone of China's aviation manufacturing industry, Shenyang Aircraft Corporation (SAC), AVIC Chengdu Aircraft Industrial Group and Harbin Aircraft Manufacturing Corporation (HAMC) now have become the sole suppliers of certain parts of the Boeing 787 project. This is the first time Boeing has chosen Chinese partners as the sole supplier.

Currently, China has 35 domestic airlines directly or indirectly involved in the production of parts for Boeing aircraft, according to Boeing's China office.

At present, AVIC Chengdu Aircraft Industrial Group is the sole supplier of Boeing 787 rudder, and it is also the only supplier of 747-8 aileron and spoiler. Shenyang Aircraft Corporation (SAC) is the sole supplier of Boeing 787 vertical stabilizer leading edge. Harbin Aircraft Manufacturing Corporation is the only supplier of Boeing 787 wing-body fairing panels.
