iPhone 4 receives network access license in China

Apple's iPhone 4 has received a network access license in China, according to information from the Web site of the Telecom Equipment Certification Center under the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT), confirming earlier news that iPhone 4 will be released by China Unicom on Sept. 15.
On Aug. 23, sources from Apple and China Unicom confirmed the iPhone 4's release date, according to a report from www.163.com.
China Unicom will release two versions of the iPhone 4, the 16G version and the 32G version, and the contract price is 5,880 yuan (around 860 U.S. dollars) and 6,999 yuan respectively. Both versions require a two-year contract agreement.
The network access license serial number of the iPhone 4 to be released by China Unicom is 02-8573-104226 and the phone model number is A1332. The China Unicom version of iPhone 4 support HSDPA and HSUPA, and supports WAPI, a Chinese National Standard for Wireless LANs. It will also have the function of FaceTime video calls.
