Chinese shares open slightly higher Friday

Chinese equities opened slightly higher on Friday, with the benchmark Shanghai Composite Index up 0.02 percent to open at 3,046.75 points.

The Shenzhen Component Index edged up 0.23 percent to 12,265.3 points at the opening.
