Angolan delegation travels to Algeria early July for Pan-African Games |

The Angolan sports delegation made up of 250 members, among them 148 athletes, will travel on July 9 to Algeria for the 9th Pan-African Games scheduled from July 9 to 23, an Angolan sports official said here on Tuesday.
Mario Rosa, assistant coordinator of the Angolan delegation, said the Angolan handball, basketball, swimming and chess teams that are participating in a pre-competitive training in Brazil, Portugal and Spain respectively, will travel directly to the venueof the competition.
According to him, Angolan athletes of athletics, boxing, disability sports, judo and Greek and roman wrestling who are receiving training in Cuba since last May will return to the country on Saturday.
Angola will compete at the Pan-African Games in such sports as basketball, handball, athletics, boxing, cycling, adapted sports, judo, Greek and roman wrestling, swimming, karatedo, shooting and chess.
