Reigning Women International BoxingFederation (WIBF) Champion Esther Phiri has become the new Global Boxing Union (GBU) super featherweight champion after defeating Bulgarian challenger Rodostina Valcheva in the second round, ZANISreported on Saturday.

Fighting before a packed crowd at Woodlands Staduim this evening, Rodostina could not accomodate the reigning WIBF superfeather weight champion's jabs and uppercuts.

The outspoken Bugarian failed to respond to Esther's jabs especially in the close of the second round which made the refereeRichard Phiri to step in to stop the fight.

Rodostina who was rushed to her change room reportedly sustained a sprain on her right arm.

The Bulgarian has already demanded a re-match as early as in October saying she was going straight into her gym to prepare.
