Jason Dunford, the first Kenyan qualified for swimming contest of the Olympic Games, bagged another bronze on Saturday in the ninth All Africa Games. Dunford, who has been trained in the United States for long, won the bronze medal in the men's 100m freestyle in 50.09 seconds. The gold went to Algerian Salim Iles with the time of 49.38 seconds, a new Games record. Iles' compatriot Nabil Kebbab claimed the silver in 49.82 seconds. Dunford won a gold in the men's 100m butterfly on Thursday and a bronze in 200m freestyle on Friday. Unfortunately, Dunford's younger brother David Dunford only finished the fourth in the men's 200m backstroke on Saturday. Jason Dunford said he has aimed at becoming the first Kenyan swimmer to win an Olympic medal.
