Arsenal midfielder Fredrik Ljungberg has moved to Premier League rivals West Ham United on Monday.
The 30-year-old, who joined Arsenal in 1998, has signed a four-year deal at Upton Park for a fee that could rise to three million pounds (about 6.17 million US dollars).
"When (Thierry) Henry left this summer it felt a bit like the end unfortunately," the Sweden captain told a news conference at Upton Park.
"It made me a bit sad and I thought all the players that were in the undefeated team have all left. I stayed and I want to be loyal but I think it was the right time to go," he said.
Ljungberg, who made more than 300 appearances and scored more than 70 goals for Arsenal, played a major role when the London club won the title in 2003-04, being on field in 30 of entire 38 games and scoring four times.
Last season, Ljungberg suffered a string of injuries which restricted him to 26 appearances.
