Capote added that he does not fear the possibility of not coming back to Cuba to see his family, who lives close to Havana, and revealed that he is getting used to Brazil very quickly: he has become a football fan, and supports club Sao Paulo.
The athlete also admitted that, during the Pan Am Games, he missed playing with his original squad, but had to conform to the fact that he had chosen "a better future."
During Rio''s Games, four members of the Cuban delegation deserted, including two boxing stars, Olympic champion Guillermo Rigondeaux and world champion Erislandry Lara.
