Myanmar judo team will compete in the International Invitational Judo Tournament in Ho Chi Min City, Vietnam, according to the Myanmar Judo Federation (MJF) on Wednesday.

As a preparation for the upcoming 24th Southeast Asian (SEA) Games, the MJF will send a 16-member delegation, comprising 12 judokas -- six men and women each, to the Vietnam event scheduled on Aug. 2-5, an official of the MJF told Xinhua.

The Myanmar judo team got two silver and three bronze medals in the International Invitational Judo Tournament in Vietnam in 2006, in which South Korea stood first with eight golds, Japan second with five and host Vietnam third with four.
