Turkey's largest city of Istanbul is set to host Formula 1 Petrol Ofisi Turkish Grand Prix from August 24 to August 26, but before that world's most famous drivers will play a charity football match with Turkey's All-Star team, the semi-official Anatolia news agency reported on Monday.
Formula Football Festival, an event to be hosted by Turkish Federation of Automobile Sports (TOSFED) in association with Italy's Nazionale Piloti, will be held at Istanbul's Ali Sami Yen Stadium on August 22, according to the report.
The report said that the charity event will be attended by renowned Formula 1 drivers, such as Michael Schumacher and Fernando Alonso as players of Formula 1 team. Turkish All-Star team consists of prominent politicians, artists, racers and football players.
All proceeds from the match will go to UNESCO and two other Turkish foundations, Mother Child Education Foundation (ACEV) and Hope For Children Association, added the report.
