Four split Royal Flame converged at Thammasat Rangsit in Bangkok on Tuesday as Thailand's Minister of Education Wichit Srisa-an put it in a shrine before it is used to light the World University Games cauldron.

The Royal Flame, after a week-long torch relay in all parts of Thailand, now rests in the Butsabok, a shrine dedicated to the Royal Flame, which was presented to Dr. Wichit by Crown Prince Maha Vajiralongkorn on Aug. 1.

Wichit then split the flame into four parts, which traveled in the four parts of Thailand, the North, the upper North East, the lower North East and the South. The torch relay featured the students from 94 universities and institutes of the country.

The opening ceremony of the 24th World University Games will begin in Rajamangala National Stadium on Wednesday.
